To restore accountability, integrity, and service to Congress, we must prioritize the people of Georgia’s 14th District. Star Black is committed to showing up, doing the work, and delivering real solutions — from creating a Caregivers Network that supports families to bringing good-paying jobs to our communities. She ensures that every voice in GA-14 is heard in Washington. Public service should be about results, not headlines, and as a dedicated Republican, Star is ready to work for you every single day. Star Black has spent her life in service to others — showing up on people’s worst days and working tirelessly to help them rebuild.
A 28-year retired veteran of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Star worked on the front lines of disaster recovery with local, county, and state governments, nonprofits, and private partners to deliver resources and relief in the aftermath of disasters. Her job was to bring logic to chaos, solve problems under pressure, and be a good steward of taxpayer dollars. I focused on solutions every day.
Public service is about showing up when times are tough, not creating chaos for personal attention. In Congress, I will listen to your concerns, fight for your needs, and put the spotlight where it belongs — on the people of the 14th District.
Her personal journey also includes being a caregiver for both her husband and her mother while working full-time. That experience drives her vision for a Caregivers Network — a one-stop resource where families can quickly find the services, support, and relief they need. She knows that at some point, everyone will either be a caregiver or need one.
Star has called the 14th District home for 17 years, with deep roots and a strong commitment to making it a place where everyone can thrive. She was the founder and former CEO of four businesses. She had an exclusive contract with FedEx Ground/Home Delivery. All businesses were based in the 14th District. Star knows the difficulties a lot of small businesses face daily.
She’s ready to bring her decades of problem-solving experience, entrepreneurship, and responsiveness to Congress and represent the people with the respect and dedication they deserve.
The Founding Fathers never intended public service to become a pathway to personal wealth. They envisioned a government led by servant citizens who would step forward to serve the country with integrity, then return to private life not politicians who use their positions to enrich themselves.
Allowing members of Congress and their families to trade individual stocks while shaping policy betrays that vision and erodes public trust. That’s why I support a full ban on stock trading for elected officials and their immediate families because public office should be about service, not profit.
Career politicians were never meant to dominate Washington for decades. Term limits are a commonsense way to restore accountability, bring fresh ideas into government, and ensure elected officials remain focused on serving the people not preserving their power. I support establishing reasonable term limits for members of Congress so no one can turn public office into a lifelong career.
By limiting time in office, we encourage new leadership, reduce the influence of entrenched special interests, and return government closer to what it was meant to be a citizen-led system that answers to the people.
We have to stop pretending a four-year college is the only path to success. For too long, trade schools have been overlooked and underfunded, even as our country faces a critical shortage of skilled workers.
I will fight to significantly increase funding for trade and technical education, expand access in our communities, and elevate these careers to the respect they deserve. Whether it’s welding, electrical work, plumbing, or advanced manufacturing, these are good-paying, essential jobs that keep America running.
By investing in trade schools, we’re not just creating opportunities we’re strengthening our workforce, rebuilding our economy, and giving the next generation real, practical paths to success without crushing debt.
Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, but too many are being crushed under layers of unnecessary regulations that favor big corporations with teams of lawyers and lobbyists.
I will fight to cut burdensome red tape, simplify compliance, and create a fair playing field so small businesses can grow, hire, and compete. That means streamlining permitting, reducing excessive federal mandates, and ensuring regulations are clear, reasonable, and focused on real safety not bureaucratic control.
When we free small businesses to do what they do best, we unleash innovation, strengthen local communities, and drive real economic growth.
Our veterans put everything on the line to defend our freedoms, and they deserve nothing less than the very best our country has to offer when they return home.
I will fight to ensure every veteran has access to top-quality healthcare whether through a strengthened VA system or expanded access to trusted local providers so no one is left waiting or without care.
It also means improving coordination and communication between VA facilities, clinics, and community providers so veterans experience seamless, consistent care no matter where they go. We must reduce wait times, expand mental health services, and hold the system accountable for real results.
Supporting our veterans isn’t a talking point it’s a promise. They served us with honor, and we must serve them with the highest standard of care in America.
